After raising a family and owning a business in Florida for 30 years, Tom and his wife, Jo-Anne, made the transition to Avery county, NC. Being too young to retire, Tom decided to draw on his past expertise in construction, purchased several local lots and began building on them. Building timber frame homes and log cabins was something Tom had wanted to do from the time he was very young. |

Whether it's sailing on Lake Watauga, playing a round of golf, or skiing beneath a fresh snowfall, Tom's motto has always been "work hard and play hard". The only thing Tom enjoys more than being outdoors is providing his clients with products and ideas that will enhance their enjoyment of the mountain region. Tom is a member of the Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce, the Newland Business Association, and is Vice-President of Elk Mountain Retreat Property Owners Association. Tom is also active in his church.
